9. Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan showed us his action prowess with his class act in 'Ghajini'. From shaving off his head to building eight pack abs, Aamir did it all. Even before, Aamir had always tried to shrug off his chocolate boy image by doing films like 'Raakh', 'Parampara', 'Baazi', 'Ghulam' and 'Sarfarosh'.

8. Hrithik Roshan

His first three films were laced with action scenes and Hrithik was perfect in his execution of action scenes. After acting in other films, Hrithik got his action streak back with 'Krrish' and 'Dhoom 2'. Hrithik has reprised the role of the iconic Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in the remake of 'Agneepath', which is again an action film.

7. The Deols

The Deols viz. Dharmendra and sons Sunny and Bobby have left behind quite a legacy when it comes to action films. Dharmendra was one of the first action heroes of his time and son Sunny kept his father's legacy by uprooting a tube well in Gadar alongside many other action films. Bobby, too has quite a long list of action movies behind him.


6. Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan may be the ultimate king of romance, but there is no stopping him from indulging him in action packed roles. He has acted in over 10 action films with the most recent in the list being 'Don 2' and 'Ra. One'. The two films have not released yet but have already been touted as the next big thing in Bollywood.

5. Ajay Devgn

Ajay made his entry in Bollywood with a cool balancing act on two bikes in his debut film 'Phool Aur Kaante'. His grand entry suggested that he was the next big action star in the making. And Ajay lived up to people's expectations. He starred in a number of action films and is working on one of the biggest of them all i.e. 'Singam' directed by Rohit Shetty.

4. John Abraham

John Abraham also has quite a number of action films to his credit like 'Kaal', 'Zinda' and 'Dhoom'. The actor's fitness level and brawny look help a great deal in establishing him as a bankable action hero. John's latest outing is the forthcoming action flick 'Force' where he's playing a tough cop. 

3. Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt is best loved in action films than in any other genre. He has been an action star throughout his career and he continues to charm the audiences with his action oriented roles.

2. Salman Khan



After 'Dabangg' Salman Khan has become the undisputed king of action which is very much justified. Like stated earlier, Salman has been putting a conscious effort into bringing the action heroes back in Bollywood and re-assert the macho image of the Indian actor. With films like 'Wanted', 'Dabangg' and 'Ready'

1. Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is known as the Khiladi king of Bollywood, which leaves us with little to say. He acted in the Khiladi series and is also the loyal host of reality series 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' which is associated with acts of daredevilry on the part of the contestants.
